These Terms & Conditions apply to all photography services, products, appointments, vouchers, competitions, promotions, and purchases provided by Murran Corp Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking a session, attending an appointment, redeeming a voucher, entering a competition, or purchasing products, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or the Fair Trading Act 2010 (WA).
OPENING TIMES
Our standard business hours are Tuesday to Saturday.
Appointments commence from 8:45am, with the final appointment commencing at 2:45pm.
After-hours appointments are available strictly by prior arrangement and may be subject to additional conditions and reduced promotional value.
COMPETITIONS
Competitions are open to persons 18 years of age or older who have not won a competition with Murran Corp Pty Ltd within the previous six (6) months.
It is the responsibility of all participants being photographed to declare their age prior to the commencement of photography. We accept no liability where age has been incorrectly disclosed.

Entries must be submitted on original, unaltered coupons with all required fields completed

Incomplete, illegible, or altered entries will not be accepted

Winners will be notified via email, Australia Post, or telephone
Competition prizes:

Are valid for three (3) months from notification

Are forfeited if not redeemed within that period

Are for domestic personal use only

Are not transferable and not redeemable for cash

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, voucher, or promotion
The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
GIFT CERTIFICATES, VOUCHER, SPECIAL OFFERS & DISCOUNTS
Gift certificates and promotional offers must be registered and redeemed prior to their stated expiry date.
Unless otherwise stated:

Only one certificate, voucher, or offer may be used per session

Offers cannot be combined
-
Certificates are not redeemable for cash
After-hours appointments receive 50% of the stated credit value unless otherwise specified.
Where a certificate includes a complimentary portrait or credit, image selection is made by Murran Corp Pty Ltd unless otherwise agreed.
It is the client’s responsibility to declare possession of a gift certificate or promotional offer at the viewing appointment. Failure to do so will result in any monies paid being ineligible for retrospective refund or credit.
Any offer, discount, or voucher is redeemable only on the day of the viewing appointment. If an order is altered after the viewing appointment, the original offer may no longer apply.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
If you cancel your scheduled appointment or fail to attend, any booking retainer, deposit, holding fee, or promotional payment made is strictly non-refundable and will be retained by the Studio, as the appointment time has been exclusively reserved for you.
Where a voucher, promotional offer, special pricing, or discounted experience has been applied to the booking, it will be deemed fully redeemed in the event of cancellation or non-attendance.
One (1) complimentary reschedule is permitted, provided a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours’ written notice is given prior to the scheduled session time.
Any additional reschedule requests will require payment of a $50 non-refundable holding fee per reschedule.
To maintain the validity of any voucher, promotional offer, or special pricing, a rescheduled session must take place within seven (7) days of the original session date unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Studio.
SESSION BOOKINGS REQUIREMENTS
All sessions require payment of a non-refundable booking retainer at the time of confirmation.
Standard Booking Retainers:
• Weekday sessions: $50 non-refundable retainer
• Weekend sessions: $200 non-refundable retainer
Promotional, special-offer, VIP, and limited-edition sessions
- Promotional or special-offer sessions may require a different non-refundable retainer.
- Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, promotional retainers are not redeemable as studio credit and are charged solely to secure the session booking.
- Where a promotional retainer is redeemable as studio credit, this will be clearly confirmed at the time of booking and documented in writing via email, invoice, or booking confirmation.
Studio credit:
• Is applied only toward image purchases, products, or collections at the ordering appointment
• Is not redeemable for cash
• Is not refundable
• Is not transferable to another person
• Cannot be exchanged for alternative services
• Must be used at the originally scheduled ordering appointment unless otherwise agreed in writing
For promotional campaigns, special offers, VIP experiences, or limited-edition sessions, a different non-refundable booking retainer may apply. The applicable retainer amount, and whether the retainer is redeemable as studio credit, will be confirmed at the time of booking and documented in writing via email, invoice, or booking confirmation.
All retainers, deposits, and holding fees constitute a genuine pre-estimate of loss and are applied toward costs including, but not limited to, reserved studio time, staffing allocations, professional hair and makeup services, and administrative expenses.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
TRANSFERABILITY
Promotional vouchers and gift certificates may be transferred to family or friends.
Prizes, vouchers, and certificates:

Cannot be combined with other offers

Are limited to one per session

Cannot be applied to purchases from other photo sessions
CREATIVE CONTROL
Murran Corp Pty Ltd retains full creative control over all photographic work, including style, composition, image selection, and final presentation.
We reserve the right to decline requests or refuse production where circumstances beyond our control prevent completion or where the requested outcome may compromise professional standards or reputation.
MARKETING & ADVERTISING CONSENT
Where consent is provided, we may use selected images for marketing and advertising purposes, including website use, social media, printed materials, online advertising, and in-studio displays.
Consent may be given verbally, in writing, or electronically. Consent may be withdrawn at any time in writing; however, withdrawal does not apply retrospectively to materials already published. No additional compensation is payable.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse service where, in our reasonable opinion, the provision of services may disrupt business operations, compromise safety, or breach professional standards.
VIEWING & PURCHASING APPOINTMENTS
All photoshoots include a scheduled viewing and purchasing appointment.
Additional viewing appointments requested by the client may incur a fee of $200 per session.
PURCHASE CONTRACTS & PAYMENTS
All images and their associated copyright remain the property of Murran Corp Pty Ltd. Purchased images are licensed for personal use only. Images must not be used for commercial purposes, advertising, resale, publication, or financial gain without prior written permission.
An order is deemed “in production” once the purchase agreement has been signed. Once in production, refunds are not available for change of mind, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement by written request to portraits@freedomphotography.com.au

Approved cancellations incur a 30% cancellation fee due to the custom-made nature of the products

Cancellations are not available for digital products once delivery has occurred
Payment Defaults
If any scheduled payment under a payment plan is missed, declined, reversed, or otherwise fails, the payment arrangement will be deemed in default and immediately terminated.
Upon default:

The full outstanding balance becomes immediately due and payable
-
Murran Corp Pty Ltd may suspend or cancel the order
-
The account may be referred to a debt collection agency or legal representative for recovery
-
Reasonable recovery costs and interest of up to 9% per annum may apply where permitted by law
All products remain the property of Murran Corp Pty Ltd until paid in full.

Where a DebitSuccess payment arrangement applies, debits may appear on bank statements under the following descriptions:

Payment Plans

Custom-made physical products will not be released until at least 50% of the total purchase price has been paid

Digital images and digital products will not be released until payment is made in full
This requirement reflects the custom-made nature of the products and the costs incurred during production and is applied consistently to all clients.
IMAGE RETENTION
Murran Corp Pty Ltd takes reasonable steps to safeguard images but accepts no liability for loss of images due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Purchased images are retained indefinitely

Images not purchased are retained for seven (7) days only
Refunds are not available where a valid purchase contract exists and the client changes their mind, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our studio places a strong emphasis on quality and therefore prefers to produce and deliver printed photo products directly through Murran Corp Pty Ltd. We use premium professional suppliers for Prints, Albums, and Wall Art, with strict quality control applied at every stage of production.
Once digital files are delivered, we accept no responsibility for:

The quality of third-party printing
-
External manipulation or editing
-
Products produced outside our studio
Clients are strongly advised to back up digital files immediately upon receipt.
The digital files provided by our Studio are the same as what we would use for a perfect quality print sized as a 7×10 inch jpeg image with a resolution of 300 dpi.
This is industry standard print resolution.
We retain files used for studio-produced products only and do not retain files for:

Digital-only purchases, or
-
Images that were not purchased
Digital images are custom-made products and, once delivered, cannot be returned, cancelled, or refunded, except as required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a technical or quality issue arises, clients agree to work cooperatively with our editing team and, at our discretion, a substitute image may be provided.
Copyright remains with Murran Corp Pty Ltd. Images are licensed for personal use only and must not be used for commercial purposes or third-party manipulation for gain without prior written permission.
COLLECTION OF GOODS
Products must be collected within six (6) months of completion unless prior arrangements are made. Uncollected goods may be disposed of in accordance with applicable laws.
PRIVACY
We collect and store personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Sensitive information is collected only with consent. Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
